Patmos Educational and Charitable Trust
Patmos Educational and Charitable Trust is a Social, Educational, Non-Governmental, and nonprofit making Organization that is registered with the government of India. The organization operates in Karnataka state of south India. Its major goal is to support the rebuilding of lives and happiness in the communities and nurtures young dreams and molds children and youth into change-makers of their communities and the nation through a range of tailor-made development projects.
We focus on providing children and youth with quality education, equal opportunities, and an environment to develop holistically. By providing the right combination of educational, extra-curricular, and financial support to poor and orphaned children – as well as youth. We aim to inspire dreams among those who otherwise do not stand a chance. Its current focus is restoration of peoples’ hope through economic recovery, capacity building, and psychosocial support for the marginalized children especially orphans. These shall be through basic Educational training, practical skills in technical institutions, promotion of hygiene and sanitation in basic primary health care and sport promotion.
The primary beneficiaries of the program shall be the targeted vulnerable groups of orphans especially those who have lost their parents, and have no one to care for them, single parent children. This will improve their lives hence being in line with the millennium development goal of reducing illiteracy level among the rural people. Such initiatives facilitate and promote family educational, health and social needs.
GOAL
Patmos Educational and Charitable Trust has a very strong goal of improving the quality of life of the vulnerable children and orphans through provision of education and psychosocial support programs.
MISSION
To transform the lives of marginalized people especially the vulnerable children those underprivileged for improved quality of life in their future.
GUIDING PHILOSOPHY
The philosophy and experience of Patmos Trust is based on the reality that every human being is a unique individual and that we all have a right to good education, health and basic needs and should have access to a comfortable life with dignity.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
1) To improve the quality of life of the orphans and vulnerable children by establishing a permanent home, school and health care Centre for them.
2) To train care givers in care giving skills to enable these children get adequate care, love and support.
3) To provide adequate education to these children to make them good citizens and have a better future through good education right from a tender age.
4) To create awareness to the community and the outside world for the need to protect, promote, preserve and support the vulnerable children and the orphans including their rights.

As we came to minister in Mysore, we came across many children without parents wandering on the roads. When we saw these pathatic conditions of the families here , we had to take a stern decision on this matter. the reallity became a passion for us and we started a home in small way with 3 children, but we couldn’t say no to children. Now we had to stop by 19 because of the facility what we have .
We are married for past 11 years and we have three children Aaron – 10, Aaradhana – 8 Aadhi – 5
